Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mac80211 wireless subsystem. When processing injected radiotap packet headers, the kernel fails to properly validate Very High Throughput (VHT) Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) and spatial stream rate parameters. A local attacker can exploit this flaw by transmitting specially crafted packets with out-of-range values, triggering kernel warnings or crashing the system, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
