Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A race condition exists in the vmap stack overflow detection mechanism for RISC-V systems. This could allow a local attacker with low privileges to trigger a stack overflow by having multiple hardware threads (harts) use the same shadow stack simultaneously. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to system instability or a denial of service.
