Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
habanalabs: fix possible memory leak in MMU DR fini
This patch fixes what seems to be copy paste error.
We will have a memory leak if the host-resident shadow is NULL (which will likely happen as the DR and HR are not dependent).
Statement
This flaw is rated as a Moderate severity impact because exploitation requires local system access to an environment with specialized Habana Labs AI accelerator hardware installed, limiting the attack surface to systems utilizing these dedicated processing units. On typical Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployments, the driver is not active unless the physical PCIe accelerator card is present and initialized. An authenticated local user interacting with the device management interface could trigger memory exhaustion over time, resulting in a localized denial of service rather than code execution or privilege escalation.
