Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Fix crash during module load unload test
During purex packet handling the driver was incorrectly freeing a pre-allocated structure. Fix this by skipping that entry.
System crashed with the following stack during a module unload test.

Statement
This vulnerability is rated as having a Moderate impact because exploitation requires local access on systems equipped with QLogic Fibre Channel hardware, with the blast radius limited to a denial of service through a kernel crash. The issue occurs within the qla2xxx SCSI driver when handling purex packets during module operations. Systems not utilizing QLogic Host Bus Adapters do not load this driver and are not exposed to this risk.
