Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: ena: Fix error handling in ena_init()

The ena_init() won't destroy workqueue created by create_singlethread_workqueue() when pci_register_driver() failed. Call destroy_workqueue() when pci_register_driver() failed to prevent the resource leak.

Statement

The patch fixes a resource leak in the ena_init() function by ensuring that the workqueue is destroyed if pci_register_driver() fails. The issue can only occur during driver initialization under specific error conditions and does not result in memory corruption or system crash. Privileges Required: Low — typically requires root to load kernel modules, but no elevated control beyond that.
