Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel component mmc: moxart. This oversight can lead to a memory leak, which may ultimately cause a kernel crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system.
CVSS score applicability
The CVSS score(s) listed for this vulnerability do not reflect the associated product's status, and are included for informational purposes to better understand the severity of this vulnerability.
Mitigation
To mitigate this issue, prevent the moxart kernel module from loading. Create a file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-moxart.conf with the content blacklist moxart. A system reboot is required for this change to take effect. This may impact systems that rely on the Moxart MMC controller.
