Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rtw89: fix potential leak in rtw89_append_probe_req_ie()
Do kfree_skb(new) before goto out to prevent potential leak.
Statement
A potential memory leak in rtw89_append_probe_req_ie() caused the newly built probe-request skb to remain allocated when rtw89_fw_h2c_add_pkt_offload() failed. The fix frees the skb on the error path before exiting, preventing incremental memory consumption during repeated scan/offload failures. This is a low-impact initialization/runtime leak with at most minor local memory pressure and no code-execution or privilege-escalation implications.
