In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ASoC: lpass: Fix for KASAN use_after_free out of bounds

When we run syzkaller we get below Out of Bounds error.

By Error checking and checking valid values issue gets rectifies.

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity because exploitation requires local access with permissions to manipulate ALSA sound controls, and it only affects systems equipped with Qualcomm Low Power Audio Subsystem (LPASS) hardware. In typical enterprise server deployments, this specialized hardware is absent, substantially limiting real-world exposure. On systems where the hardware is active, an authenticated local attacker could trigger out-of-bounds memory operations, resulting in a kernel crash and denial of service or potential memory leakage.
