JFS_SBI(ipbmap->i_sb)->bmap wasn't set to NULL after kfree() in dbUnmount().

Syzkaller uses faultinject to reproduce this KASAN double-free warning. The issue is triggered if either diMount() or dbMount() fail in jfs_remount(), since diUnmount() or dbUnmount() already happened in such a case - they will do double-free on next execution: jfs_umount or jfs_remount.

Tested on both upstream and jfs-next by syzkaller.

Statement

A low severity flaw was found in the Linux kernel's JFS file system implementation. When a jfs_remount() operation fails in its error path (for example when diMount() or dbMount() fail), dbUnmount() frees the bmap structure but does not set the JFS_SBI bmap pointer to NULL. A subsequent unmount or remount of the same file system then frees that memory a second time, resulting in a kernel double-free that can crash the system (denial of service). Triggering this issue requires local access and the ability to mount or remount a JFS file system, and it manifests on a remount error path (reproduced upstream with fault injection), so the practical impact is limited to availability. For this reason Red Hat rates this flaw LOW severity, in contrast to the upstream CVE.org rating of IMPORTANT (CVSS 7.8), which assumes high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact. All maintained Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9, and 10 kernel and kernel-rt streams, as well as Red Hat In-Vehicle OS, are recorded as not affected because the vulnerable code is not present in their shipped kernels. The remaining record, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Life Cycle Support, is out of support scope.
