Description
A flaw was found in the nilfs2 file system component of the Linux kernel. A local attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted or corrupted disk image. This issue arises because nilfs2 reuses buffer pointers for metadata that may have been forcibly discarded, leading to a kernel warning. If the kernel is configured to panic on warnings, this could result in a system crash, causing a denial of service.
