Description

A flaw was found in the enic driver of the Linux kernel. The enic_set_vf_port function incorrectly assumes specific lengths for certain netlink (nl) attributes, such as IFLA_PORT_PROFILE, IFLA_PORT_INSTANCE_UUID, and IFLA_PORT_HOST_UUID. Due to insufficient validation of these attribute lengths, a local attacker could provide malformed input, leading to an out-of-bounds read access during memory copy operations. This could result in information disclosure or a denial of service.
