Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's PowerPC Enhanced Error Handling (EEH) subsystem. If a Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) device is removed while error reporting is in progress, the kernel fails to hold the proper lock when copying device references. A local user could exploit this race condition during device removal to trigger a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
