Description
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in the btrfs_qgroup_check_inherit() function where the function skips the whole qgroup inherit check if the qgroup is not enabled which also inadvertently skips basic checks such as num_ref_copies, num_excl_copies, and the size of the btrfs_qgroup_inherit structure. If qgroups are later re-enabled during the same transaction, it can lead to out-of-bounds memory access as the system attempts to use an invalid or corrupted btrfs_qgroup_inherit structure. This can lead to memory corruption or crashes.
