Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's network handling, specifically within the Generic UDP Encapsulation (GUE) Generic Receive Offload (GRO) function. A remote attacker could exploit this by sending specially crafted network packets containing unsupported encapsulated protocols. This could trigger a system warning, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) by causing system instability. There is also a limited potential for information disclosure related to IP protocol metadata.
Statement
This flaw does not seems to be impacting C and I of the kernel metadata, this could impact confidentiality (if it does) should be limited to IP protocol metadata only.
