Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's memory management (mm) component, specifically within the vmalloc subsystem. This vulnerability occurs when a new memory block (vmap_block) is added to a queue (vmap_block_queue) before a critical field (cpu) is properly initialized. A local attacker, by triggering concurrent memory operations, could exploit this uninitialized state to cause an out-of-bounds access, leading to a system crash or denial of service (DoS).
