Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mt76 wireless driver. This vulnerability occurs because the driver incorrectly calculates the transmit antenna (tx_ant) by using an 8-bit weight function (hweight8) on a 16-bit chainmask, leading to an invalid transmit antenna value. An attacker on the same network segment could exploit this to trigger a kernel stack-out-of-bounds error, resulting in a system crash and a denial of service.
