CVE-2024-49865

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's drm/xe/vm component. A local attacker could exploit a Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability by predicting the next virtual machine identifier and issuing a destroy command before the virtual machine creation process is complete. This timing vulnerability allows the attacker to trigger the UAF, potentially leading to a denial of service, information disclosure, or arbitrary code execution.
