Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's drm/amd/pm component, affecting Vangogh graphics processing units (GPUs). A local attacker could exploit an out-of-bounds write vulnerability, where a GPU metrics table is allocated with insufficient size but subsequently written to with a larger block of data. This memory corruption could lead to privilege escalation, allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code with elevated permissions, or cause a denial of service.
