Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's nommu memory management subsystem on architectures operating without a memory management unit (MMU). When deleting a virtual memory area (VMA) entry from an internal data structure, an incorrect argument is passed during state preallocation. A local user can exploit this vulnerability by unmapping memory to cause a kernel crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
