Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's s390 IOMMU (Input-Output Memory Management Unit) subsystem. When a PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) device is unexpectedly removed while in use (surprise hot-unplugged), the kernel fails to attach a memory domain to the missing hardware, resulting in a use-after-free condition. A local privileged user could trigger this flaw to crash the operating system, leading to a denial of service (DoS).
