Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

Bluetooth: iso: Fix circular lock in iso_listen_bis

This fixes the circular locking dependency warning below, by releasing the socket lock before enterning iso_listen_bis, to avoid any potential deadlock with hdev lock.

Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate severity for Red Hat Enterprise Linux because exploitation requires access to create Bluetooth sockets and an active Bluetooth adapter, limiting the impact to a local denial of service via system deadlock rather than arbitrary code execution or privilege escalation. In typical enterprise server deployments, Bluetooth hardware is either absent or disabled by default, which substantially reduces the attack surface. Systems without Bluetooth devices or where the Bluetooth stack is inactive are not exposed to this issue.
