Statement

Moderate severity is assigned to this flaw because exploitation requires local access and privileged operations, such as triggering a PCI hot-unplug or device teardown on systems equipped with AMD GPU hardware. Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems without AMD graphics hardware or those running standard headless server installations do not load the affected driver by default and are not exposed. The vulnerability occurs during driver release when scheduler entities access an already freed run queue, primarily resulting in a local denial of service via a kernel crash.
