Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Btrfs filesystem. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit a use-after-free vulnerability in the btrfs_ref_tree_mod() function. This occurs when an error path is triggered after inserting a reference entry without properly removing it from the rbtree before freeing it. Successful exploitation of this flaw could lead to a system crash or potentially allow the attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution and escalate privileges.
