The tegra_cmac_init or tegra_sha_init function may return an error when memory is exhausted. It should not transfer the request when they return an error.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate impact for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat In-Vehicle OS because exploitation requires local access on specialized NVIDIA Tegra hardware during extreme system memory exhaustion. Systems deployed on standard server architectures lacking Tegra Security Engine hardware are unaffected. On supported Tegra platforms, failure to properly handle allocation errors during cryptographic initialization could lead to a kernel crash and denial of service.
