Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pktgen: Avoid out-of-bounds access in get_imix_entries
Passing a sufficient amount of imix entries leads to invalid access to the pkt_dev->imix_entries array because of the incorrect boundary check.

Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate because exploitation requires local access and the ability to interact with the kernel packet generator's procfs control interface, which is typically restricted to privileged users. The pktgen module is an optional network testing utility and is not loaded by default in standard Red Hat deployments. Consequently, systems are only exposed if the module is explicitly loaded and configured by an administrator.
