Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ax25 module. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit a locking issue, specifically a circular locking dependency, within the ax25_setsockopt() function. This could lead to a Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability, where the system attempts to use memory after it has been freed. Successful exploitation of this UAF could result in a denial of service or potentially lead to privilege escalation, allowing the attacker to gain higher system access.
