Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bcachefs: bch2_ioctl_subvolume_destroy() fixes
bch2_evict_subvolume_inodes() was getting stuck - due to incorrectly pruning the dcache.
Also, fix missing permissions checks.
Statement
Red Hat products are not vulnerable to this flaw as the bcachefs filesystem is not included or enabled in supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux kernel builds. The underlying issue involves missing authorization checks and an execution hang during subvolume removal operations in upstream bcachefs. Because the affected filesystem driver is entirely absent from Red Hat distributions, this vulnerability presents no operational risk to Red Hat environments.
Mitigation
No mitigation is specified in collected source.
