Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ksmbd: add bounds check for durable handle context

Add missing bounds check for durable handle context.

Statement

This vulnerability does not affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other supported products because the in-kernel SMB server (ksmbd) is not compiled or shipped in Red Hat kernels. Standard Red Hat deployments rely on the user-space Samba suite for SMB network services rather than the upstream kernel implementation. Consequently, Red Hat systems are not exposed to this flaw.

Mitigation

No mitigation is specified in collected source.
