Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: add mutual exclusion in proc_sctp_do_udp_port()
We must serialize calls to sctp_udp_sock_stop() and sctp_udp_sock_start() or risk a crash as syzbot reported:

Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Moderate because it is restricted to local access and results exclusively in a kernel panic and denial of service, without impacting confidentiality or integrity. Exploitation requires modifying the SCTP UDP port sysctl setting, which requires administrative privileges or access to unprivileged user namespaces. Additionally, the SCTP kernel module is not loaded by default in standard Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, limiting exposure to systems where SCTP is actively enabled.
