Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/panthor: Fix race condition when gathering fdinfo group samples
Commit e16635d88fa0 ("drm/panthor: add DRM fdinfo support") failed to protect access to groups with an xarray lock, which could lead to use-after-free errors.
Statement
Moderate severity is assigned to this flaw because an attacker requires local access and specific timing to trigger a race condition in the Panthor DRM subsystem, which could result in kernel memory corruption and a denial of service. Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases are not affected, as the fdinfo sampling functionality for the Panthor driver was not incorporated into their supported kernels.
