Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) subsystem. A local user could trigger a race condition during ATM device deregistration. This vulnerability arises because a critical lock is released too early, allowing a new device to be registered before the previous one's entries are fully removed. Successful exploitation can lead to a kernel warning or crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system.
