Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

RDMA/hns: Fix double destruction of rsv_qp

rsv_qp may be double destroyed in error flow, first in free_mr_init(), and then in hns_roce_exit(). Fix it by moving the free_mr_init() call into hns_roce_v2_init().

Statement

This vulnerability does not affect supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases as the vulnerable code introduced upstream is not present in Red Hat kernels. The issue is restricted to systems utilizing specialized HiSilicon RoCE hardware adapters running specific upstream kernel versions during error recovery paths. Because the prerequisite code changes were never backported to Red Hat enterprise kernels, standard deployments remain completely unaffected.

Mitigation

No mitigation is specified in collected source.
