Description
A flaw was found in the linux kernel of_numa subsystem fails to properly initialize memory‑only NUMA nodes (i.e., nodes without CPUs). When such nodes remain uninitialized, a subsequent call to free_area_init() may access NODE_DATA() for those nodes and trigger a kernel panic due to a NULL pointer dereference. This can lead to a denial of service (system crash) during boot on affected kernels.
