Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A local user could trigger a deadlock between the PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) error recovery mechanism and the mlx5 crdump functionality. This occurs due to an incorrect lock acquisition during PCI error recovery on s390 systems. The deadlock causes system tasks to become unresponsive, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
