Description
A flaw was found in the drm/panthor component of the Linux kernel. A malicious local user could exploit a use-after-free vulnerability in the GROUP_CREATE ioctl function. By carefully timing calls to GROUP_CREATE and GROUP_DESTROY from different threads, an attacker could cause the system to access freed memory. This could lead to privilege escalation, allowing the attacker to gain elevated access to the system.
