Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, specifically within the drm/panthor graphics driver. This vulnerability involves a race condition, a situation where multiple operations occur at the same time in an unpredictable order. Specifically, the drm_sched_fence_get_timeline_name function can race with group_free_queue, leading to incorrect handling of direct memory access (DMA) fence rules. This could potentially cause system instability or unexpected behavior.
