Description
A flaw was found in the MySQL Server Telemetry component. A remote attacker with high privileges and network access can exploit this vulnerability over multiple protocols to cause a partial Denial of Service (DoS). Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized degradation of database service availability.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Low severity because successful exploitation requires an attacker to possess elevated administrative privileges and only results in a partial degradation of database availability without compromising data integrity or confidentiality. In standard Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployments, database instances are protected by authentication controls and restricted network topologies, substantially limiting exposure. Furthermore, the issue is confined to the telemetry feature and cannot be leveraged for arbitrary code execution or total service termination.
