Statement
Red Hat has rated this vulnerability as Important severity because supplying untrusted URI targets to the desktop browsing handler can result in arbitrary executable invocation across system boundaries, potentially compromising host integrity. This flaw specifically affects Windows releases of the Red Hat Build of OpenJDK, whereas OpenJDK packages on Red Hat Enterprise Linux do not contain the affected code. Typical server deployments that do not invoke desktop graphical interfaces or handle untrusted URI browsing remain unexposed.
