Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A privileged local user can exploit a vulnerability in the udp_tunnel module when IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) is disabled. This occurs because the udp_sock_create6() function incorrectly returns success without creating a socket, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. This can cause the system to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
