Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's net/mana network driver. An error in the mana_gd_setup() function's cleanup process could result in a use-after-free vulnerability. This occurs because the service_wq workqueue pointer is not correctly nulled after destruction during setup errors, which could allow an attacker to potentially cause a system crash (denial of service) or execute arbitrary code.
Statement
Red Hat acknowledges the upstream Linux kernel correction for «net/mana» as described in COMMENT_ZERO. Fixes are delivered through standard kernel errata for supported products. Operational exposure depends on whether this subsystem or driver is active in your configuration.
