Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ath12k Wi-Fi driver. When a multi-link connection is active, the firmware incorrectly enables Wake-on-Wireless (WoW) offloads on both primary and secondary links. This misconfiguration can lead to a firmware crash on WCN7850 devices, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected systems.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as Low severity because exploitation requires specific Qualcomm Wi-Fi hardware configured in a multi-link setup and results only in an adapter-level denial of service. Red Hat Enterprise Linux server environments rarely deploy ath12k wireless hardware, substantially limiting real-world exposure across standard installations. The defect is confined to triggering an adapter firmware crash during Wake-on-Wireless offloading, with no impact on host data confidentiality or system integrity.
