Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) component. When a dev-bound-only BPF program undergoes Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation with constant blinding enabled, a stale pointer to a freed program can occur. This issue arises when the network namespace is destroyed, leading to a page fault. A local attacker could exploit this to cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
Statement
This CVE has been rated as Moderate because eBPF (and XDP) is restricted to root-only on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
