Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's f2fs (Flash-Friendly File System) component. A race condition can occur when an f2fs partition is nearly full, involving interactions between garbage collection, folio splitting, and LRU (Least Recently Used) isolation. This race can cause a folio (a group of pages in memory) to be freed while still linked to the LRU list, leading to list corruption and ultimately a kernel panic. A local attacker could exploit this to cause a Denial of Service (DoS).
