Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's amdgpu graphics driver. This vulnerability could lead to a system crash due to an unhandled error condition. By replacing a critical error mechanism with a warning, the kernel is now more resilient, preventing potential Denial of Service (DoS) situations.

Statement

This issue affects AMDGPU GFX9. BUG_ON() on error paths forces kernel panic. Systems without AMD GPUs are not affected.
