Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's media subsystem (ti: vpe). An incorrect error check in the vip_probe_slice() function, specifically when handling memory allocation failures from devm_kzalloc(), could lead to a denial of service. A local attacker could potentially exploit this to cause system instability or unresponsiveness.
Statement
This issue affects TI VPE driver. vip_probe_slice() uses PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO on devm_kzalloc NULL, returning 0 instead of -ENOMEM. Embedded OMAP VPE only.
