Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mali-c55 driver. This vulnerability occurs because the media_pad_remote_pad_unique() function's error return value (an ERR_PTR) was not properly checked before being dereferenced in the enable_streams function. A local attacker could exploit this oversight, potentially leading to a system crash and causing a Denial of Service (DoS).
Statement
This issue affects ARM Mali-C55 ISP. enable_streams does not check ERR_PTR from media_pad_remote_pad_unique(). Embedded Mali-C55 platforms only.
