Description
A flaw was found in the Bluetooth Management (MGMT) component of the Linux kernel. A use-after-free vulnerability occurs when the MGMT_OP_LOAD_CONN_PARAM operation queues a connection update. If a subsequent request frees the associated memory before the update is processed, it can lead to a system crash or potentially allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Statement
This issue affects Bluetooth LE connection parameter management. LOAD_CONN_PARAM queues work holding a borrowed hci_conn_params pointer that can be freed by a later request, causing UAF. Systems without Bluetooth LE are not affected.
