Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Data Access MONitor (DAMON) component. When damon_pa_migrate() or damos_va_migrate() functions attempt to migrate memory pages (folios) to an invalid Node ID (NID), these pages are not properly returned to the Least Recently Used (LRU) list. This improper handling results in the pages remaining isolated with an extra reference, which can lead to memory pinning and potential system instability or denial of service due to memory exhaustion.
