Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's amdxdna graphics driver. An unprivileged local user could exploit a vulnerability in how the driver handles memory management operations. By performing specific memory mapping and access patterns, a user could trigger an assertion failure, leading to a system crash and a Denial of Service (DoS).
Statement
Red Hat has evaluated this issue as having a Moderate security impact because exploitation requires local unprivileged access and solely results in a denial of service via a kernel panic, without enabling data exposure or privilege escalation. Supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases are not affected, as the AMD XDNA accelerator driver code is not present in shipped kernel builds.
