Description
A flaw was found in the netfs component of the Linux kernel. When netfs_prepare_read_iterator() processes readahead folios, it may fail to release these folios if an error occurs during the rolling_buffer_load_from_ra() operation. This oversight can lead to a memory leak, potentially allowing a local attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by exhausting system memory.
